You have got to be kidding me! Evidently the Mayor is going full steam ahead with the "Keep Carson Pirie Scott in Hammond" campaign. All schools in Hammond passed out flyer's today rallying the people of Hammond to save Carson's asking residents to be part of "The Miracle on 165th Street!"
Am I the only one who senses desperation? I mean, signing an over sized petition and sharing your memories of shopping at Carson's is really going to make a difference?
Retailers will build and keep stores in areas where they will profit. Obviously, their profit margin projections show them Hammond is not the place.

A mayor needs to believe when others lose heart. Yes, you're right the market will dictate, but luckily some mayors see beyond the current malaise.
Are you sure about this support for Romney?
Romney is on the ropes no doubt about it.
As for the mayor, well, he can make a headline.
